Position title: Lead Security Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas area
 
 
Position description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to support the company’s professional services team and customers. The ideal  candidate has software development experience, strong communication skills, and a deep technical background.
 
 
Position responsibilities:
·      Provide leadership, guidance, instruction, and direction to other members of the engineering team
·      Manage and deliver on action items from services engagements and conduct technical reviews with customers
·      Project-based contributions which may include building automation, enhancing a plugin, product-based testing/QA with integrations
·      Troubleshoot complex implementations of company solutions and work with teams in the areas of support, professional services, and customers to provide satisfactory resolution
·      Provide technical detailed documentation related to cases and to share this with internal teams
·      Ability to learn new technologies to a satisfactory level in order to work closely with customers and internal teams to solve all customer issues
 
 
 
 
 
Required/desired skills:
 
·      Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience leading a small team
·      Programming experience using Java, C#, and Javascript
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be effective in a customer-facing role
·      Motivated self-starter with the ability to grasp and learn complex, technical concepts
·      Software security experience preferred
·      Ability to travel up to 25% and to work from an Austin, Texas office
